    Not Cotton Not cotton. Definitely something synthetic. Holds pretty good, but because they are not cotton, they pull out my hair, so I actually don't use them often because if that. I really don't have hair to spare and was hoping for something gentler. 4Amazing! Okay, I never write reviews for things, but I can't not write a review for these. I know, I know, it's just a hair tie. But it's not just a hair tie! I don't have super thick hair and it's by no means curly, but these hair ties are perfect! I'm a runner and always put my hair in a high-ish ponytail for my runs. With every other hair tie I've gotten in the past, my ponytail ends up a lot lower than where I started with it.Not so with these! I put my hair up nice and high and it stayed nice and high! It's the little things in life :) 5Not as picturedI ordered these hair ties expecting them to be the colors in the photograph. They were duller and not as soft as the picture indicated. In addition, there are no pink bands. Instead, they were this awful "flesh" color. If I hadn't tossed the back they came in, they'd be going back.3Thick hair ponytail holders - thick band nice quality materialThese are thicker than they look in the picture. I didn't look at the measurements, thought they would be a narrower width but made great. I have hair bands made of a similar material but much thinner band. I want to check to see if they have thinner ones as well but did keep these. Great for thick hair.5These are simply our favorite hair tiesMy daughter has very thick, wavy hair, and mine is moderately so. These are simply our favorite hair ties. I have been growing my hair long, so ponytails are fairly new to me. I do not like the sensation of my hair being pulled on. These ties hold firmly and do not pull. They do get stretched out a bit more quickly than other ties, but they still work for a long time. Definitely worth it for us.5Doesn't get caught in my VERY Long Hair! Awesome hair ties for long thick hair!One of the reasons I bought these was for the variety of colors but am disappointed that the colors are all dark with the exception for 2 light gray ones. Otherwise am satisfied with them. My hair is VERY long & was having problems with hair ties getting tangled in my hair & pulled my hair out just trying to take them out. I don't have that problem with these. Definitely recommend this product.3very sturdy hair ties! good value! I am still using the first one and after a few months, it's only a little bit stretched out, but still definitely functional. I have very long thick hair and I used to use 2-3 hair ties to hold my hair back while at the gym. With these, I only use one and it holds the same as when I was using 2-3 of the "heafty goody brand" hair ties. It pulls some hair out when taking it out, but not as bad as a rubber tie. Overall, worth the money! 4If you have thick, long hair, these do not work. I am disappointed in this product. I have very long, thick hair. I am a college student so I always have my hair up in a bun and out of the way. With normal hair ties, they would stretch out, leaving my bun sagging to the side, and would inevitably snap. These hair ties stretch out very quickly, doing the same thing as other hair ties, and they can never keep my bun up either. When I put my hair in a low pony, they slide out of my hair and fall out because they get stretched out so quickly! However, they do not snap like other hair ties. That is the only positive to these hair ties. 2Love them! I have thick but quite straight hair. These ties are the best! They don't tangle in my hair, I can wear them around my wrist when not using them and they aren't too tight so are very comfortable, and easily go on and off. I have had many a hair tie in my life, but have to say these work better than anything else I've used. Most of the colors are very nice too! 5Perfect for big hair! These are a god-send! I have super long, thick, curly, kinky hair, and before these I have only ever had the typical thin black rubber band type hair bands. These thick bands are so soft on your hair and easy to wrap around! When my hair is curly its massive and when I straighten it, it just feels super heavy. These bands work with any of my chosen hair days and I am about to order more, because as with all hairbands, I tend to lose them everywhere! I recommend for ethnic hair for sure! I have purchase this brand and another similar and I would say that they both were great. 5A gift from the gods of heavy hair SUPER effective. My hair is thick and insanely heavy, and until now I had been using whatever I could find in the beauty section of Target and Walmart. (Usually those thick Goody or Scunci hair ties. Soooo many bulk packs of Goody and Scunci.) I would have to wrap them three times to get them tight enough to hold my hair up, and eventually they all would either stretch out so much to be useless, or snap as I was going for the third wraparound. Also, if I did anything to make my ponytail bounce around at all, it would slip and I would have to take it down and redo it, no matter how much non-slip silicone it was lined with. These on the other hand are tight and secure, and somehow manage to avoid getting knotted up with shed/broken hairs like the other ties do. Seriously, these are the best hair ties I've ever used.That said, these are definitely better suited for long hair. I recently got mine cut to collarbone length, and the tie is so thick that it kind of overpowers my much-shorter ponytails now. If I can find a thinner version from this brand I would buy more in a heartbeat. 5Exactly what I was looking for! Love these don t leave ponytail dents in your hair. Pull less than the other elastic hair ties. And if they stretch out, I just throw them in with my laundry and the dryer brings them right back into shape.I always have one around my wrist - added benefit- they don t hurt or mess with your circulation like the other hair ties do. 5These are not hair ties Not what I was expecting, I thought I was ordering cotton covered hair elastics, like regular hair ties but beefier. No, these are more like the ends of tights, like a craft project sorta thing. They work fine ONCE then they are stretched out and useless. Probably because they are not elastic. On the up side, my cats like to bat them around so not a total loss. 3Great for puffy, straight, curly, or wavey hair Love! Thick curly mixed breed hair. depending on whats done to it and how and what i s washed with it can be very smooth and silky through very puffy and course. Most of the time its just thick and wavy. No matter what texture it decides to take on these work and dont tangle or pull out hair! My own experience, these are great when my hair is silky and soft, wavey and curly and even when its course puffy dry and hard to comb through. These work when my hair is acting black, white, & even hispanic! 5Must buy!! My new fave! I have 22 inches of super THICK CURLY HAIR which turns into an Afro when dry and brushed out. I couldn't find any bands that would fit around my hair without breaking. I started using scarves... YES SCARVES.. as ponytail holders. Until I came across these!!!!Omggg I'm in love!!! They stretch so well, and don't break! The quality is awesom, like they were made just for my hair. I'll never buy another brand of "ponies" again 5
