Customer Reviews

Love it easy to use, creamy, stays in place.... will dry out if you leave the lid off but cant fault the product for user error. Came with a crack thru the center, not being familiar with this type of eyeliner I was concerned it was dried out but it wasn't, works great, looks great.... 5Pretty but, hard to applyI bought the blue one I do Love the color but very drying and you have to apply it a few times to get a good color pay off. The brush it came with is actually really good to4which is always a good surprise. The color is beautifulArrived almost a week early, which is always a good surprise. The color is beautiful, and it's texture is creamy and spreads perfectly. The only complaint would be to make the brush a tad bit bigger. I have a ton of makeup brushes, so it's not a big deal to me, but it could be an issue for someone who doesn't own a set of good brushes.4Easy to use, looks terrific Liquid eyeliner always appears too harsh and pencil eyeliner pulls my eyelid too much and doesn't apply evenly. But this cream eyeliner is perfect. Goes on smooth and I can control the placement and thickness of the line much better. The end result looks just great. And just a very little bit on a brush is all you need--don't go sticking your brush in to the pot too far. 5Lasts All Day Liner lasts ALL day without "creeping" down below my eye (where it doesn't belong). The gel liner was soft and easy to apply - not like others I've purchased, they were very, very dry. The color is very pretty, as well. Definitely would recommend. 5Five Starsit's was very dark and it didn't leave any smudges5Really works- even for sensitive eyes!Let me just start by saying I have very dry/irritable eyes and I have psoriasis on my eyelids, so I'm constantly itching, rubbing, and putting eye drops in my eyes. Every single time I wore cream/liquid eyeliner I ended up having raccoon eyes, black tears, smudges, or cracked eyeliner all in my eyes and all over my face. Most of them made my psoriasis a billion times worse. This was my last option before saying I quit to top eyeliner all together. I got it in the mail at 10am and I instantly tried it. I wore it all day long around the house and when I looked in the mirror at 7pm it had worn off just a tiny bit on my left eye. I couldn't believe it. This IS the best cream eyeliner I've used so far. It doesn't crack. It doesn't run. It doesn't cause raccoon eyes. It doesn't irritate my eyes. I also love the color too, it really makes my green eyes pop! It's not too light to notice it's brown but it's not too dark to look black. I have my own brush that I used to apply it, but the brush that came with works just fine. Also, you don't have to scrub your skin off to remove it. One makeup remover pad and poof, it's gone. I love it so much. This is a beauty staple for me for sure. I'll continue to buy it as long as it's on the market.5Impressed with the resultsFirst, let me start by saying that I normally do not review anything I buy, but I was just really impressed with this eyeliner.I was a little skeptical about cream eyeliner because the one that I used previously would smudge onto the top of my lid after a couple of hours and so I was looking for a liquid liner (I used to love the Maybelline waterproof liquid liner) but I decided to give E.l.f. a try. I couldn't be happier with my buy.I've been wearing it for a couple of days now( I love the less exaggerated version of a cat eye) and it has not smudged even once. I live in New England and this past week we've had snow, humidity, rain and my make up has withstood it all. It is creamy enough to go on easily, but dry enough to not smudge during application (and the brush it comes with is way better than the one that comes with the maybelline studio liner). It faded in the shower but didn't completely come off( speaks highly of the waterproofness), but it easily came off with an eye make-up remover I got at the body shop.Buy this! You will not regret it.5Low pigment, too creamy, and difficult to apply This is a very creamy eyeliner. One might be forgiven for thinking it will be similar to other cream eyeliners, but it isn't. It's so creamy that when I first opened it up, I made the mistake of sinking my brush too far into the pot. I was expecting some measure of "pushback" from the product, but it's the consistency of whipped cream, not cream eyeliner.Application is weak. I was constantly loading the brush because it would apply too lightly. The line was not bold, despite adequate product. It took a while to dry, which ruined my perfect eyeshadow when I sneezed. I finally had to set the eyeliner with a hairdryer and eyeshadow to hasten the drying time.I think if I dry it out a bit more, the color might concentrate and the consistency might become more normal. Right now, it's just not optimal. 2So pretty and stays on all dayI really loved this eye liner, it so pretty, the color is just amazing. and it stays on really well too, so totally perfect. recommend for blue eyes, it made mine pop!5I love these brand I love these brand. last me all day.... well I dont use it as a eye liner I use it on eye brows. but you can use it as eye liner, better for under water eye line because is not water prof. 5Nice product but you get what you pay for I saw a review for this product in an old Consumer Reports Shopping managzine. They recommended this eyeliner so I thought I'd give it a try. This is very easy to apply; not messy; and you can do what you want - thin line, thick line, Egyptian princess eye line, etc. The color - coffee - is quite dark, close to black.UPDATE - I am updating this review now that I've used this product for a while. the product itself is fine but the very short applicator brush becomes a problem after a while. Some of the brush pieces come off and after a while it's simply hard to use easily. The applicator brush is also very short --- not as long as in the photo. 3Love this colorTeal Tease Studio Cream Eyeliner is exactly what I was hoping for; it's a super bright, metallic blue-green color that looks fantastic on any shade of skin. As for the little brush it comes with: it's not the greatest in the world, but it does the job (and hey, it's free!). It's so small I just keep it in my purse in case I need any touch-ups.This eyeliner is very creamy and easy to apply--unlike some cream liners I've used, where you practically have to dig it out and keep going back for more after each brush stroke. Obviously, if you touch any makeup when it's still wet it's going to smear, but once this one is dry it stays put all day long. Sometimes, I put a dab of a similar shade of blue eyeshadow over it for extra staying power. The shade of greenish-blue is by far the prettiest that I've seen, and I get compliments on it all the time. For most people I would advise using in moderation, as it is very vibrant and it's easy to go overboard with blue in particular.I would definitely recommend looking for this at a department store that carries e.l.f. (like Target) before purchasing online so that you can save the outrageous shipping charges--this brand of makeup is usually only $1 - $5 or so in stores. I'll surely be getting more of this eyeliner once I run out.5I love the color but i don't love that I have ... I love the color but i don't love that I have to apply it more than once. Even when Im first putting it on. Also the black from elf is a bit more thick and stays so long longer and better. Wish the purple was like that too 4Excellent . . . I had purchased e.l.f. liquid liner that was too difficult to remove, but this cream eyeliner is perfect for me. I purchased Plum Purple and only have to apply it once in the morning without any touch ups. Removal is easy and not hard on the eyes. Excellent! 4Fantastic!I am a huge fan of Benefit's They're Real! Pushup Liner but the price is a little salty for my frugal taste so i set out to find a product that's comparable in color and performance at a much lower price. After reading the reviews of several eyeliners on Amazon i settled on this one and i couldn't be happier! E.L.F's cream eyeliner definitely gives Benefit a run for its money. The consistency and opacity of this liner are phenomenal (mattest black ever) and it's got the same staying power as the more expensive brand (once it's set, it's SET) . The brush that comes with it is too small for me, but you can get a good liner brush anywhere so that's not really a concern. This is the first time I've tried the E.L.F. brand and I'm super impressed. Looking forward to trying other products in the future :)5Metallic Olive - great color Having hazel eyes, I've been searching for a while for a subtle grey/green cream eye liner, and finally found it! I was very nervous about the "metallic" aspect, but I don't see any shimmer from it at all ... which is a good thing. It is a very soft color, perfect for lower lash line, and blends wonderfully. It's important to have a good liner brush so you can blend it into a smokey look. I do use a darker color (MAC dipdown brown) for the upper lash line as it's a more intense color. Very happy with this purchase. 5I love ELF. I have really bad eczema I love ELF. I have really bad eczema, especially on my eyelids. As you can imagine, this is very hard to get rid on since the eyelids are so thin and sensitive. However, this eye liner does not irritate my skin! And it's so cheap! If you know how to apply cream eyeliner with an angled brush, definitely try this stuff. It looks great on fair blondes because it's not as harsh as the black. 5Great color but not 100% SmudgeproofI purchased this eyeliner in Teal Tease for my girlfriend and the color was absolutely gorgeous. She was so excited to put it on. The one problem with this eyeliner is that it's not 100% smudgeproof. She had it on for maybe thirty minutes and the color was already going into her crease but after cleaning the smudged bit off it gave her no more problems and didn't smudge at all for the rest of the night.P.S. The eyeliner is slightly thin so you may need to apply more that you're used to4LoveLove it4Five StarsI love it5Four StarsThis is a wonderful color. Great purchase!4Dont buy this. When applied to the eye, the product looses all intensity. It looks like i draw with a regular drawing pencil on my eye. Not attractive at all.2I really like this eyelinerI really like this eyeliner, no surprise as e.l.f impresses me with it's reasonably priced quality makeup. First I purchased the black version at target-it was the only color available. The e.l.f. stuff there is rarely fully stocked. The black worked great but was a little too intense for daytime wear for me. I would definitely use it for night though. It was hard to tell from the pictures on Amazon and on the e.l.f. website exactly what shade of brown this was but for this price it was worth a gamble. As I had hoped it was a nice medium to dark brown; dark enough to make an impact and to add a bit of drama but not so dark that I felt over the top. Just right! This morning I applied the eyeliner and I glanced in the mirror a few minutes ago ( it is 7:30 pm ) and it still looks just as it did in the morning.5Not as pigmented and metallic as I hopedPretty teal color but I was hoping the pigment would be a little stronger and more metallic. It appears faded when you put it on, it's tough to get a pigmented paint type look, it is more like watercolor.2
