    I suck at doing girl things like manicures I suck at doing girl things like manicures, a d I gave up on doing it myself a while ago after trying numerous tools. I decided to give it a go again, and I bought these nippers. They are perfect. The spring is perfectly calibrated, the handle fits just right in my hand, and they are sharp. I love these so much I actually volunteered to do my mom's nails after I did my own. 5I Love these. I was a little skeptical about this design, different than the 'traditional' one, but I read reviews and decided to give them a try.They feel good in my hand & are nice & sharp. I am used to holding the other kind a certain way after the spring levers break off. It was nice not having to do that, and because this set has an actual spring in an out of the way place, I don't anticipate having to ever go back to that other grip. Speaking of grips, the handles have a wonderful soft, textured covering on them. These are not going to slip out of my fingers if they happen to be a little slippery.I love the blade guard & the travel case, too.I am more than happy with this purchase and am going to be making other purchases here. 5If youre looking for a sturdy cuticle cutter, this might not be for you. I hate leaving bad reviews but I spent way more than I would like just to have a sturdy cuticle cutter. This broke within a month, doesn't last nearly as long as the ones that cost less than one-fourth the price of this one. The springs used in this product is so cheap and already broke apart in about 3 weeks. I only used it 3 times... either I received a defective product or it wasn't made to last a long time. 1Not good. Not a fan. These are less like cuticle scissors and more like repurposed craft wire cutters. Not sharp and the ends aren't thin or angled enough. I'm honestly stumped about the good reviews. 1Great clippers but bad spring- only lasts a couple months These are by far the best clippers I have found. The reason for a 3 star versus 5 is because the spring does not hold up. I have purchased 3 this year. First time in March, spring broke and fell out less than 2 months later. Second time in May, spring broke and fell out 3 months later. Last time in September, spring broke and fell out again last week. I also don t know how to utilize the Lifetime Warranty as there is no contact information found when I Googled Harperton. 3HIGHLY RECOMMEND! LOVE THESE! I purchased these after my long lasting Revlon nippers took a nasty spill and were damaged to the point of being useless. I first purchased several pairs of nippers all around the $10 price point that were complete garbage. They either didn't line up well, or weren't sharp enough to properly cut my cuticles without ripping them. I was getting really discouraged right when I came across these. Decided to try them out and man, am I glad I did! I love that they came in their own little slide close case, as well as have a plastic housing guard for the top part to shield them if they'd end up dropping to the floor, as my last pair did. I've been using these for months now and still love them! I've also received great customer service from this company regarding other promotions that were offered when I purchased these nippers. I would highly recommend these! 5Super sharp and the best I've used! I was looking for sharp cuticle cutters to replace all my dull ones. Normally, I only use the V shaped cuticle cutters because the nipper style leaves my cuticles ragged, so they end up shredding later (painful and ugly). These trim the cuticles cleanly, leaving no edges behind and they feel ergonomic in your hand, so you have better control.The company that makes these (Harperton) is big on customer service, and they even offered me a free goodie of my choice (I got the nail trimmers that are similar to this) and sent it to me promptly, even before I wrote a review for them. I'm confident that they would honor the warranty if I had any problems in the future.Also, these were less expensive than the ones I saw at Target and Sally's.I know I don't have pretty hands, but I've attached a photo so you can see how they worked for me. 5***** UPDATED**** A great pair of nippers! well worth the cost! Great pair of nippers! I bought one at Christmas time for my wife, i used them once and had to buy a pair for myself. these are sharp, comfortable and they have an actual Spring that opens them, not just a piece of metal that doesnt stay in position or starts to flatten out over time making the nippers not as springy as they were when new. And for the $$$, these are a steal! **** ********* Update, here it is a couple years later and I am about to buy my 3rd pair of these nippers, thats how great they are. The two I bought already are still going strong, still sharp as can be and still do a great job, Ive even used mine to cut wires while working on one of my guitars...lol Now I'm buying a new one to replace mine because A) My dog chewed off one of the rubber handle covers and B) i need one to keep in my desk at work so ill bring the older ones to work and keep the new one at home (away from Maggie! lol) I'm sure I will get a few more years out of these... If they are still made with the quality of the previous ones i bought. 5Great set of cuticle cutters! I was in need of a new set of cuticle cutters since my pair fell and bent the tip. I was happy with the generic brand I had purchased before and was looking for the same type. In searching Amazon, I found quite a few types that all looked quite similar to what I had and to each other for a range of prices. The Nippit looked a bit different from the rest at a reasonable price. Specifically, I was intrigued by the rubberized grip and the placement of the spring. I decided to try the Nippit and couldn t be happier. The rubberized grip makes it easy to hold even when your hands are wet or extremely dry which made the plain metal ones a bit onerous to hold onto at times. The old pair of cutters had bar spring that rotated if you were using them or storing them. This would slip at times and need adjusted, more so as the pair aged. As for the Nippit, the spring is out of the way and won t slip like the old ones. It seems to be heavy gauge metal so I could see them working for years to come. Finally, the cutters come with a nice rubberized cap this may be for shipping/packaging. However, given the demise of my last pair falling and damaging the tip, I don t want these to succumb to the same fate I am keeping that cap on when I am not using them!If you are in the market for a new set of cuticle cutters, I highly recommend you try these out. 5Seller replaced dull ones, new ones are great Update: I was contacted by the seller very soon after posting my review and they offered to send another one free of charge. Thankfully the new one is nice and sharp and I can resume cutting all my poor cuticles off! I'm still only giving them 4 stars for sending a defective product in the first place.Original review: I purchased these over a year ago and they were great. I tend to obsessively trim my cuticles and these were sharp and efficient. The spring on my old ones broke and I immediately ordered a new one. They arrived tonight and I sat down to trim my cuticles... They don't cleanly cut - they start to cut and then rip the skin. Now I have two painful bloody fingers from these. I don't know what changed, but these are awful. 4
