    Terrific, will be using for travel. I was skeptical, but read other reviews and decided to try this for an upcoming trip to Europe so as not to have to check luggage. I washed my hair, then wet the bar and rubbed it on my hair starting with the ends. I did that until it felt like it had conditioner in it(smooth and easy to untangle), then put a smaller amount close to roots. Loved it and will be trying again with the bar shampoo too. My hair is dyed and long so it needs a lot of moisture. I blow dry almost every day too. 5Hard to use. Container rusts fast. I bought this for a music fest trip which required me to camp for 4 nights. I was trying to save space and avoid spillage so a solid hair conditioner was a great idea.Using it, however, is way harder than liquid conditioner. You have to really rub the conditioner to get the product on your hair. And once it gets wet, it gets icky and makes the container hard to manipulate.My hair felt soft after but it wasn't any softer compared to regular conditioner.One has to dry the conditioner thoroughly before putting it back on the container or else it will melt away. The container also rusted quickly. It takes forever to dry and you'd have to dedicate space on your tent just to let this dry.Overall, I like the concept but as it is now, the solid conditioner is too bothersome. It's better to decant some conditioner on a small container and call it a day. 1Bad batch? Funky smell. This says unscented on the tin, but its natural smell was a sort of musty dust kind of smell. It didn't linger in my hair afterwards, thankfully, but it made it extremely unpleasant to use. I didn't notice enough conditioning effects on my hair for me to consider it worth keeping. Either I got a weird batch, or I'm just particularly sensitive to whatever makes it smell that way.The lid and base have little notches that you give a little twist to 'lock'. It's not as secure as a threaded lid, but it's easier to work with when your hands are wet than a simple push down lid. And mine had one of those 'freshness seal' pieces of paper you find glued on jar lids, only it was underneath the conditioner bar, (not glued down) presumably to help you get the bar out, keep it from sticking to the tin. 1All I can say is amazing. I have thin You need this in your life!!!! All I can say is amazing. I have thin, fine hair and this product is great for me. USE ONLY A LITTLE!!! You don't need much! It'll last forever and I'm excited to see how much healthier my hair becomes after using it! Already purged all my store bought conditioner. Even my salon products, Gone! I would recommend doing a few ACV rinces when changing from store products to this. Makes your hair feel amazing but BUY THE ORGANIC UNFILTERED ACV! Way less smelly and you won't believe how soft you hair is 5Really pleased! Long, fine hair. Used tip from previous reviewer with great results. Really pleased. I have long, fine, straight-ish, blond hair and this worked really well without weighing my hair down or darkening my hair.I used the suggestion another reviewer gave of cutting off a small amount and adding it to a small bottle with warm water. That worked out really well! (Thank you for the suggestion!).While I actually was using the conditioner I didn't think it was going to work well. I couldn't feel it in my hair at all, but I decided to just go ahead with it since I didn't have the rest of the bar with me. My hair tangles really easily when wet so I comb a widetooth comb through my hair when I have conditioner in (works better than any detangling product or rinse I've tried, including ACV rinses). I was surprised that I was able to comb through it easily this time too.As I went on with my day I promptly forgot about the conditioner bar, but I kept noticing that my hair was particularly easy that day. It was also particularly soft and shiny, and I didn't have any frizz.I'm glad I used the bottle suggestion from the other reviewer. If I hadn't, I would have continued adding more of the conditioner to my hair until I could actually feel it, and that would have been too much. It also makes the whole process so much easier.I was testing this out since I want to just take a carry-on with me for a 2 month trip to a remote area. I needed something that wasn't a liquid and this is absolutely perfect.I'm really glad I tried it. 5Not a fan This review is for the Honey Silk hair conditioner...seems like the reviews for this product and the beer conditioner are mixed together, and I just want to clarify that I haven't tried the beer version (yet!). I purchased the Honey Silk conditioner after using the Beauty and the Bees Voodoo Bamboo Charcoal shampoo bar for a couple weeks...going into winter, I needed some extra moisture to keep the static at bay. I had unrealistically expected that the conditioner bar would be similar in consistency to the shampoo bar, which is hard and similar to a regular bar of soap (not the glycerin type). However, the conditioner bar is much softer, more slippery and very malleable. I've been keeping it on the far side of my shower, as far away from the water as I can, but it remains soft and melt-y, and the tin has started to rust (ick). I'm sure removing it from the shower and allowing it to dry after each use would help, but I can't be bothered with toting the thing back and forth every time. I find it pretty unpleasant to use compared to conventional conditioners from a bottle...I never get enough product off it when rubbing it on my hands and then through my hair, and rubbing it directly on my hair causes any loose hairs to stick to it (ARG).The product itself works okay. It's a bit difficult figuring out the right amount to use, and it's a thin line between well-conditioned and greasy hair. It's done the job of keeping the static away, but hasn't given me the hair of shampoo/conditioner commercials. I'll continue to use it, but am already on the lookout for the next product to try once this one's done. 3Great for fine, thin and straight hair! I love their products! I have over-50, baby fine, straight, light blonde hair that is thinning. It is also very straight. I have been using these products for about 1.5 years now and I will never use anything else!My hair loss is dramatically reduced! The health and (SO MUCH) body of my hair is greatly increased, as well. I LOVE not having flat hair anymore! It is a little pricey, but not when you consider that I no longer need 5 different products to style my hair!My hair stays in place nicely when styled and is very managable.My complete hair regime is as follows...Daily;B&B Goats milk or chamomille shampoo barB&B honey silk conditioner barOnce or twice Weekly:3-4 drops STRONG ROOTS red pimeinto oil or black castor oil rubbed into roots and brushed into dry hair to the tips with a good quality boars bristle brush. Leave in overnight and wash out the next morning.I have tried all of their varietys of shampoo bars, except the charcoal shampoo. I have also tried the beer conditioner bar, too. Personally, They all seemed to perform pretty much the same, so I chose my routine by my fav scents. I have never had to use an ACV rinse, because the conditioner bar seems to correct the sticky residue of using shampoo alone.FABULOUS! 5Fantastic product! I love this product! I've been using it daily with this company's shampoo bars for a few weeks & no longer have to use additional styling products. I'm in my mid-40s and have shoulder-length hair that is greying, getting more fine & more wavy as I'm aging. Now my hair looks shiny & healthy. Humidity still causes my hair to curl, but the frizziness is gone & curls are more defined. Also, these products take up much less space in a travel bag than bottles of hair products. 5Ehhhh I ve been a fan of Lush because I love the idea of naked packaging, however, I ve been looking for alternatives. The conditioner bars at Lush is ok for my hair but not great. My hair is thick, wavy, and collar bone length. Now for this Honey silk bar:Pros: glides easily through my hair in the shower, softens my hair a bit more than Lush conditioner which makes it easier to brush afterwards.Cons: the size is 3/4 of a Lush conditioner bar, and the price is double. Also, I doubt this will last me 100 washes. I ve only used it a few times and the size has already reduced significantly. Even though I keep it dry and in a container. It also has a waxy smell, although it didn t stick to my hair. It didn t transfer any smell at all which I guess is good because I don t want my hair smelling waxy.The verdict is i ll just stick to Lush and keep looking for a better alternative. Unfortunately, this isn t it. 2I love Lush Cosmetics, but this solid conditioner is INFINITELY better than any of theirs. I have long, thick, wavy-curly Caucasian hair. Gets tangled fairly easily, but not terribly.Not only did this work, but it also happens to be the best conditioner I have EVER USED. Period.I've been looking around for solid versions of bath products for travelling and while I LOVE Lush Cosmetics, their solid conditioners are pretty sub-par.Based on that, I wasn't expecting much better from this but I had saved up enough Prime points so figured "hey, why not." I have NEVER used a conditioner of any kind that I didn't need to leave in my hair for a couple of minutes while I wash the rest of my body. I just glide it on and could comb it through immediately.I can't promise it works for all hair types, but it certainly worked on mine. Barely a snag when I brushed it through in the shower. 5
