Love what this does for my skin! This one really surprised me! I ve tried all the other foundations from this brand but it wasn t until their makeup rep color matched me with this that I really knew what I had been missing. It s light weight, mixed with hyaluronic acid to smooth out your skin and just enough coverage to give you a nice even skin tone that looks natural. I have a lot of redness to my skin so I was surprised what it offered me. I follow up with either the press powder or loose to add a little more coverage and some SPF but I really like the base it gives me, even on its own. I just use my hands to blend it as I find the warmth of my hands breaks down the little color balls to blend nicely. This is now my favorite!And just as a side note: if you re struggling with breakouts or flare ups and hesitant to put makeup on it, I find then when I use Jane Iredale makeup on upset skin, it s actually calmer by the end of the day. It really does benefit the skin. 5Very nice, light weight, feels more natural This was weird using the first time. 1. It took a few pumps to get color to start pumping out which wasted product. Then I used a ton to get the coverage I like, with out realizing that once it sets, it sets like powder with more coverage. Ugh However I m liking the feel and the coverage so far. Also delivery was fast and seller was great. 5DISSATISFIED?? PLEASE READ THIS! First of all, I do not work for Jane Iredale. I have just used her products for many years. I LOVE this foundation and I love Amazon, however...if you want to be absolutely sure you are getting the freshest product then order from the Jane Iredale website. The cost is absolutely the SAME and you get free shipping too! This product is not, I repeat, NOT a full coverage foundation. If you need that then try her BB cream. If you want something in the middle coverage-wise, use the mineral foundation and top it off with a light fluff of their amazing base powder. Feels like you're wearing nothing yet the result is gorgeous. I am 66 years old so you know I have skin that needs more coverage than I used to ... this combination even works for aging skin. I have also tried mixing just a teeny bit of BB cream with this liquid mineral and that provides very nice, long-lasting coverage too...but, of course, doesn't feel as light on the skin. The other thing about dealing directly with Jane Iredale is her customer service. A.MAZ.ING!If you're not happy with their product, call them. Not only will they refund your $$ immediately, you keep what you bought and they will send samples of what you would rather try so you can be sure you like what you get instead of hating their product and never trying it again. I have used this foundation for years and only ONCE have I had a blending issue and that was when I ordered it from Amazon. To be fair, I have also ordered it from Amazon other times and it was great. But the customer service makes ordering from jane Iredale a complete win-win. 5Amazing summer glow Wow this is incredible! I just turned 51 and have received so many compliments since wearing this. Through the years I have tried a slew of foundations from bargain store to high end but this is the only one for me from now on. Its light weight, non-greasy, and makes my face glow like it did when I was younger. My skin is very dry so I use a moisturizer and primer then this lasts 16 hours. Not sure how it works but those micro pigments are incredible at hiding wrinkles (camoflauge, perhaps). I bought it for my sister who has oily skin and she loves it too. If your looking for a healthy glow this is for you. If you want a heavy duty foundation to hide scars or acne this is not the best choice. Hope this helps! Blessings. 5Details! I was super excited about this product after reading a few beauty blogs, which I'm now suspecting were paid sponsors. I wanted to love this foundation, I really did! I didn't see too many detailed reviews and so am hoping to save other women the hassle. Here's my honest, step-by-step experience and experiment:Before I even bought it, I thought 1 oz was incredibly small. Oh well, the price we pay for quality? I can take it on an airplane... And other such justifications.Upon receiving, I noticed no directions on the packaging. Well, I'm a big girl, I've used foundations, I can figure it out.Upon using, the first few pumps were clear which made me a little nervous about the integrity of the pump. Couple more pumps later, and yay! Color! Wait. Gritty color? All good, I'll just smear to combine as best I can. Wait, it's not combining that well... Hmm.I applied some to my face using my fingers at first, and it didn't blend very well. Not worse than drug store foundations, but not any better, either. Determined to give the the best try possible, I cleansed my face and rinsed extra well so no other product would interfere. My skin didn't feel tight or dry, so I proceeded (I have combo skin).I used a freshly cleaned concealer brush to get enough foundation in the right places, then my IT face blender brush with my mother's tamp and swirl technique. (Mother is a professional makeup artist of 25+ years, so that helps.) Had to use 4 PUMPS of this tiny bottle to cover my whole face.Results were not bad, but not great, either. Coverage was better than my Juice Beauty Stem Cellular CC Cream, but not as moisturizing or dewy, and not nearly as easy to apply. Didn't do much for the texture of my skin either. Wouldn't recommend to cover blemishes. Definitely a LIGHT coverage, and not buildable-- it pills up.I would only buy this product again if they could better melt the minerals, and if it were about $20 less expensive. In the powder, I'm a Golden Glow. And this is much darker than that. It doesn't spread easily or evenly, and starts to look blotchy and smeared. I've applied it with a J.I. brush and a sponge, using different techniques each time, and it just doesn't look right. I started to use the J.I. primer, in my attempt to make it better, but it didn't help; and I have pretty healthy skin. It doesn't provide much coverage for the few scars I have or breakouts I get during that time of the month, either. The only thing I like about this stuff is that once it's been put on and dried - because yes, it feels really wet and nasty during application- you don't feel like you have foundation on like you would with other products. I'll be trying something different. 1Great Makeup For Airplane Travel This foundation is excellent. It blends well for a natural look. I bought this type primarily for airplane travel. I can put it in my carryon luggage because it is packaged in the bottle as small beads. When you pump the cap, the beads mix and dispense as liquid. So unique. It s pricey, but the contents last a long time. Very little is needed for coverage. 5The best! Many compliments while wearing This is the best foundation I've ever worn. When you put it on, it looks like your skin. Even with a closeup mirror, you can't see the makeup once it's blended. On at least three occasions in the last two years, I've had strangers compliment me on my skin when I was wearing the foundation. This had never happened before.Unlike other foundations, I've found that over the day, it looks better and better. It's the first foundation I've worn that doesn't look flaky or get discolored as the day goes on. When I take it off at night, my skin feels better than if I'd not used it at all. Hydrated, I guess.I think if you're going for the natural look, this is a good product. It does give your face shine, but in my opinion, shine makes a person look healthy. If you have acne problems or oily skin, I wouldn't use this, but I think that the drier your skin, the more you will like this product.If you really can't stand the shine, but you love the color you get, I would pair this with one of Jane Iredale's powders. I have the translucent powder, which I use on occasion. I love the translucent powder because it has SPF and you can't see that actual grains of powder on your skin.I would go to a retail location and test the different colors before purchasing. Use Yelp to find a location. Once you find the right color, I think you will love this product! 5Expensive but works as promised. I have been hesitant to purchase this product due to the price. However, by this point in the day, with most other foundations, my skin is itching. (I have extremely sensitive skin with the redness to prove it). The foundation adequately covered my redness without feeling thick and heavy, although my nose is a bit shiny by the end of the day. At most it provides medium coverage, which allows you to still look natural with it on. When you first pump the make up out, only the clear liquid will come out but after about 4 pumps, the make up comes out evenly. When you put it on, it feels gross, but it dries quickly. (Main reason for the 4 star rating). Use the Jane Iredale flocked sponge and WATCH THE APPLICATION VIDEO. It's pretty obvious that some the negative reviews don't actually pay attention to the video directions. Overall, it does what it claims. 4Very Drying and Hard to Blend Like others have said, I don't know where all of the positive reviews are coming from for this product. I read the many great reviews and ordered this with great hope. It's very pretty to look at (in the bottle), but that's where it stops. There are no directions for how to apply it and when I did apply it, it was impossible to blend well and it was very drying on my skin. I would NOT recommend this foundation at all. You're much better off with a tinted moisturizer like Laura Mercier's or Nars. 1
