    HARD PASS This pencil isn't even worth my words. It crumbles and gives uneven coverage. Sharpening it is difficult and often rips out the inner tube of color. It straight up melts in temperatures over 70 degrees. This product is way too high maintenance to ever become part of my routine. It's garbage. HARD PASS. Look elsewhere for a better pencil! 1Brittle, Dry and breaks off even with the dual sharpener it suggest to use. Package came opened. Which was strange enough. I tried apply the smooth glide highlighter and the tip fell off. That was annoying enough.I then used a LOREAL Dual sharpener like it says on the package. Which is brand new and came with in the same order. Well, it was hard to sharpen because of the gold band on the bottom. The highlighter is still dry and breaks off.I am so disappointed in this product. I was supper excited to take on my trip.Warning: I received the order today and tried doing a return. But it says I can't! Don't risk buying this in case of a brittle highlighter coming to you. 1Pigmented!Lots of pigment, dries and holds in seconds for the whole night. If you have super sensitive and watery eyes I recommend holding your lower lash line out for a couple a seconds after application to ensure it doesn t run5Leaves remnantsI like it. Sometimes it's hard to get the lines even but it's still pretty but even when I wash it off there is black stuff in my eyes.4I wouldn't buy this again I don't recommend the highlighter eyeliner. It doesn't stay on more than a few minutes, and it causes my contact lenses to blur to the point of blindness. It also gets used up way too fast. One use seems to reduce the size very noticeably. I used this on my water line and it would get on my contacts and blind me with a blur that was so bad I would have to remove my lenses. So I tried using it a little lower, more on my lower lash line, and it gets in my contacts less but just in general doesn't last. Its basically pointless, I would not buy it again. 2wasted money and triple shame! I bought L'Oreal Silkissime eyeliners in the past and was hoping to add one in a new color, Charcoal, based on my previous good experience. The pencil arrived with the coloring "shaft" knocked in; I had to sharpen it right away, only to find out that the pencil is unusable - dried out, does not create a line, scratches and leaves smudgy pieces of the matter on the eyelid. Turns out, it is not even returnable!!! Shame on the seller, for offering such waste for sale. Shame on you, Amazon, for allowing your sellers such "no return" policies. And shame on me, for not having found out in advance, if the item could be returned, should I find it defective, and for not having read the most recent reviews. 1It stays on for hoursI LOVE this eyeliner pencil. It is very hard to find a pencil that is not only easy to use but stays on.5Hard to Apply (dry) & Hard to SharpenHORRIBLE HORRIBLE Eye liner....ive never seen a eye pencil so dang hard to sharpen because of the loose eyeliner breaking off and i havebto heat the pencil up to get it to apply...i will never buy again!1Great Eye Highlighter I got the 230 highlighter shade to use in the corners of my eyes and I love this pencil and the color. The highlighter goes on like silk and is shiny enough to bring out the corners of my eyes making them look bigger or drawing attention to wherever I use this. Once applied, it is quite difficult to rub off and the shimmer lasts for pretty much the entire day. My only concern is sharpening this pencil. I tried sharpening it with a regular makeup eyeliner pencil sharpener and it did not turn out very nicely. I sometimes feel the wood poking my eye because of the way the pencil was sharpened. I have read other reviews recommending to have the right size sharpener for the pencil which I don't have the time to look for but I'm able to manage. 4A picture paints a thousand words!!This eye pencil was TERRIBLE! I ordered a special Nars sharpener as per reviewers suggestions as there is a gold band around it that WILL NOT peel off to sharpen. That did not work. Check out the pic I attached.1Goes on easyBest eye liner. I have tried every eye liner made. It s even better then Lanc me. The only negative is it doesn t last as long because you loose a lot while sharpening. You have to buy Nars pencil sharpener.5defective/unusable from opening the package I ordered this eyeliner because I'd read that it's a good, more affordable option comparable to the Marc Jacobs fineliner I tried once and really liked (but of course, was much more expensive). I ordered this L'Oreal Silkissme on Amazon. When it arrived and I opened the package, the actual liner was loose in the pencil. It's designed so that when you turn the bottom end of the pencil, the liner slowly comes out of the top end. However, this liner was loose in the pencil and falls out if I turn it upside down. When I get the liner out enough, any pressure [on my eyelid] pushes the liner back into the pencil, rendering it unusable. I didn't expect it would be AS good as Marc Jacobs, but I didn't expect it to be a total waste of $5. 1It glides on very easily and is very dark (I ordered the black onxy ...I have been using this brand/style eyeliner for about 2 years. It glides on very easily and is very dark (I ordered the black onxy or whatever). I think it is a great price for the product. The only reason I am giving 4 instead of 5 is- you need to sharpen it and I have bought a few of these that are completely dried out (not from Amazon, just from different drugstores over the years) where I sharpened and sharpened and was never able to use because it was too dry. Also the product does not last long with daily use- if you rub your eyes or eyes water it does come off fairly easily, as well as it only lasts me about 5 weeks max and I have to buy another one. Some eyeliners liquid I find lasts longer.4The best I have tried.This is the easiest eyeliner I have tried and I have tried a lot! So I have ended up never wearing eyeliner until I found this. I line my upper lash line and then just below my upper lash line. I tried it by only doing one eye to see the results. They were amazing! The only thing I don't understand is the sharpening. Why didn't L'Oreal make sharpening possible? Or am I missing something?5Not Recommended I mistakenly ordered two of these and how disappointing. After a very few uses, it was necessary to sharpen them and that's when I discovered my sharpener didn't have the right sizes. So I ordered a L'oreal sharpener and it was identical to the one I had on hand. Bummer so I have two barely used liners that I may never be able to use. DO NOY BUY unless you know you have an appropriately sized sharpener...or of you only want to use once for a special occasion. 1Useless- How do they even sell this? What a crumbly mess! The "lead" in the pencil just breaks off in big chunks, sharpen it, go to use it-- massive chunk. Plop! Right on the counter. (And, ouch, now I'm scraping sharp wood against my lid.) Sharpen again, pull the sharpener off, no lead at all-- where'd it go? Sharpen again and... ploooomph... out falls the ENTIRE lead onto the floor (see photo.) I even tried sticking the lead in a pot and melting it with the blowdryer and applying the "product" with a brush but it won't transfer from the brush to my face. I tried taking one of the crumbles up off the counter and, using my thumb, cramming it against the back of my hand to see if I could get any kind of a line or transfer.. nope! No clue how this passed L'Oreal QA. 1This is an excellent eyeliner that doesn t smudgeThis is an excellent eyeliner that doesn t smudge. The black is very dramatic looking and the cobalt blue is very dark and gorgeous. It glides on silky and stays put even in the water line. My only problem is that it is such a pain to sharpen. I can t get it to sharpen evenly and end up wasting most of the pencil as the tip breaks off. Little shards of the wood ends up stabbing me in the eye. It s the perfect eyeliner except for having to sharpen it.4If you had trouble sharpening it...here is whyWorks perfectly. I too had the problem sharpening it at first...BUT..I stopped trying to sharpen it with a regular .59 cent pencil sharpener and bought an actual eyeliner sharpener for $3. VIOLA I learned there is most definitely a difference. With an actual eyeliner sharpener it works perfectly, sharpens exactly as expected and lasted a long time5
