Customer Reviews

I love this! I love this stuff! I get very tan in summer (I tan reddish tan due to Native American ancestry) except for my face which stays much paler (I'm also Scandinavian) due to wearing a hat. This bronzer makes my face match my body. I use it over foundation for a more formal look and on bare skin for a natural look. This is my go to product for summer! It is all I use for skin evening, blush, eye-shadow and lip color! Talk about easy, minimal makeup packing for vacation! This and mascara and I'm good to go. 5I like this product due to the fact that it's all ...I like this product due to the fact that it's all natural. That's important to me in choosing makeup/beauty products. This "bronzer" has many uses. When I applied it as a bronzer it was a little too reddish for my skin tone. It may be better suited for blush, not entire face application. My favorite use for the product is as eyeshadow. I have brown/hazel eyes and this eyeshadow brings out my eyes so well. A little goes a long way!!!! Apply a very small amount and then blend it in. It is very natural looking and this bottle may look small but it will last you years!5Not what I was remembering this to be. Plan to return I ordered a small bottle of the light & one of the medium Indian Earth. Interestingly the lighter powder came in this dark bottle & the medium color (the darker of the 2) arrived in the light colored bottle. No rhyme or reason to that. Nonetheless I dislike both equally. I used Indian Earth for years in the 70's. I loved it then but of course we didn't have near the makeup selection we have now. We didn't have all these "mineral" makeups then. I was so excited when I saw this on Amazon though. I remembered loving Indian Earth. So I ordered it is a regrettable purchase. Plan to return both bottles. This goes on so roughly. Only way I know to explain. It doesn't blend nicely. Even using the puff that came with it. I also tried using a soft kabuki & it was no different. It streaks & goes on clumpy but impossible to smooth out if you make a mistake. Instead you have to wash it off & start all over. It gets everywhere too. So disappointed. Best left as a nostalgic memory of the 70's like Chemin de Fer jeans & going to great concerts for $8. Good times 2I am returning Terrible color, not at all like the true california glow by Steiner 1I love it.I have been using this stuff since i could reach it out of my mothers makeup cabinet! I love it.. once i found it here on amazon i was hooked! Its so natural on my skin i get so make compliments on how "naturally bronzed" my skin always looks year round.. everyone always wants to know what tanning place i use haha ... this stuff is my dirty little secret.. I encourage you to buy this just to try it! A LITTLE BIT GOES A LONG WAY BELIEVE ME... Its not one of those bronzers you will have to go to the store and keep buying.. it will last you!5Great Bronzer-so glad I found this again I used this as a teenager and am so glad I found it again! The little tub is cute and all but I found by emptying it into an old mineral foundation container that had a sifter made using it so much easier. A little goes A LONG WAY so use sparingly to build up the color or you will look a little cray cray. I find that this product looks best when you have a tan but that is just my opinion. I use it as a bronzer and eyeshadow when I have a tan and it looks great. It says you can use it as a lipstick by wetting it but I have no desire to try that. This product should last a long time so I am very happy with this. 4Works great for all shades of skin. Bought it to wear for a friend's wedding. Not big on makeup, I wanted something that was light but would cover well. I remembered trying it on a cruise and figured what the heck. It works just as I remembered. Mind you, it is a small bottle and an even smaller amount inside ( 5 grams isn't very much), but a little goes a loooong way. There's a fine line between a nice bronze finish and orange. Works for all shades. Also, use a good makeup brush, that weird cotton ball applicator sucks. 4Indian Earth Bronzer is just like I remembered it from the 1970sI purchased the smaller bottle, I didn't realize it at first because I was so excited to find it again! Its exactly how I remembered. The bottle came secure with a plastic seal around it and received it promptly. I don't use the powder puff for applying it, but you can use it for blending if you use it as a blush. I love using it as eye makeup. Hold onto the cork with bottle closed tightly, tip gently, then rap gently to remove excess. Remove cork and I rub eye shadow applier onto the cork to collect the bronzer. Some tends to gather around the edges so be careful when applying (I wouldn't apply this with white on). I normally apply makeup before I'm dressed, so FYI. If you aren't careful it can get all over the sink, but it wipes up and doesn't stain the sink. I suggest same method if applying on with a blush brush, but be careful it doesn't fly all over the room. Just dap the brush, don't wipe the brush on the cork. It's the beautiful "red" eyemakeup I can never find. All others were too orange or too red. This is the perfect, natural color. I love it!!!5pinkish skin look muddy and dirty, even when I barely applied it I've been looking for a loose powder blush with no shimmer for YEARS and thought I'd finally found it... but this just made my fair, pinkish skin look muddy and dirty, even when I barely applied it. I can definitely see how this would be a miracle product if your skin is darker or has golden undertones, but it's just not for me. 1I feel like a teenager all over again! Just how I remember it as a kid. This color works great for me and always has. It IS messy, so be careful. The formula is all natural, no fragrance or synthetics...so it does NOT make my eyes watery. Good for all around color, even looks good on my lips. I put some on a kabuki brush, sweep it around my face, eyelids, neck, collar bone, top of shoulders, then rub some into my lips...then I take a cotton ball and blend everything really well. The cotton ball picks up any excess too. 5Nothing else needed!!! In the summer months, this is all I wear on my face. Very versatile and very little goes a looong way, I have had the same crock for 2 years now, no other make up can make that claim. 5Thank Goodness For Old Hippies !!! OMG, I've been using this since the 60's !!! This is all you need! Use it as eyeshadow, blush & lipstick! 5More Red than Brown I do Not believe this to be the Original and true Indian Earth I used back in the late 70's. The original had more Brown hues and this has Red hues. I am thankful I have two puffs, I use the product sparingly. I already have a deep tan and this is still too Red to use all over my face, I only use it for my cheek bones and contouring. I will be searching for the true Original Indian Earth, this reminds me of a Loreal product I bought that was a knock off of Indian Earth that was really Red too. I was so excited to get it, and then so bummed out when it turned out to be so deep Red. Might be good on lips with a lip gloss, I will try that next. 3
