    NOT for COARSE hairGood for delicate hair but this trimmer doesn't cut it for the more coarse hair in my bikini area. If I had the choice I would not have purchased this item...it works but not for my hair type.3Great for cutting hair and shaving it all off.Exactly what I needed. I wanted something to trim hair not just shave it all off. This has a really nice attachment and the size of the shaver is just right. Not too long and not big or awkward feeling in your hand. It comes with a bag to store it all in which I really like. I have purchased other trimmers that just didn't seem to cut hair at all even though the description said it did. Would purchase again if it ever stops working.5Doesn't work, save your money! I am so disappointed with this product. As weird as it may sound, I was excited to try this out. It did not perform at all like it claims it should. The only head that actually worked was for trimming. That's all. The shaving head did NOTHING. I followed all instructions, and nada! Do yourself a favor, save your money! I'm so disappointed, I didn't think I could go wrong with the Phillip's brand. Mistake. 1Perfect trimmer.... small and neat and get the job done...I love it.... it trims you just low enough to give you a nice groomed look but not too low to cause Razor bumps.... and I love the accessories, this is a must have...5I would definitely recommend I really likes this trimmer. I've used a few different types in the past and they would be ok but not have a lot of power. This came with a bunch of accessories and has a lot of power to it. I would definitely recommend this 5Not as good as older versionWorks ok. I have a different version in men's and women's and they work much better. I think the women's is bikini genie. Men's is identical just different color. It's Philips go styler. I think this is supposed to be the improved version but I like older better3Shaver head is completely worthless So disappointed. Phillips usually makes really good stuff, but this item is terrible. The trimming blade missed more than it cut, whether the guide was on or not. I had to make so many passes to make any progress that my skin ended up all irritated. And the shaving head LITERALLY cut nothing. I even tried it on my arm, thinking maybe it would work on finer hair; nope. Keep in mind I wasn't "starting from scratch", as it were, either. This trimmer still couldn't handle it. 1Try it within the return time frame as you will likely return itI really cant use this as it doesnt cut close to the skin at all, cant even try to do a "in between" shave for when I wear dresses or capri's. Wish I would of tried it in the return time frame :(2All in all good for what I bought it for. This is great. Works great for the most part, packaging is perfect, no missing pieces, and comes with the first battery! But the shaving head doesn't work for me... I don't know if I just got a defective one and I guess for clean shaving I'll just get the Venus razors which have worked for me since I was 12! (20 now). 43 Years of Magic! I finally decided to write a review.It has 1 trimming head with 2 plastic extenders and 1 shaving head that you can switch between according to your liking.But it is a secret to using the shaving head, you can't just put the shaving head on it and start shaving if you got long hairs down there. If the hairs look longer than approximately 0.5cm , first you gotta trim it down with the metal trimming blades, and THEN use the shaving head afterwards. Then you'll see it works like a charm!Also this is easy to clean, it comes with a brush.Plus the battery that comes with this last me for an entire year! you just gotta make sure you take the battery out after each use! The blades didn"t go dull for a whole year!! LOVE LOVE LOVE HIGHLY RECOMMEND 5Store in a non-humid space This is the 2nd time I buy this product because I really like it. It s compact, has a nice design, works great, and it contains everything I need. The first time I bought the Phillips Bikini Genie, it lasted me about 3 years, but I think the humidity of the bathroom ruined the inside mechanics of where the battery belongs. So, don t store in a humid place! Also, I recommend perhaps not storing it with the battery inside for the whole time you are not using it. I use it to do my bikini line or to trim arm hair (I model hands, so they want a trim only but still some hair) and I have traveled with it as well. I like the portability of this product and that it has no cables nor wiring. 4piece of crap This product worked great... for the month that it actually worked. About a month into owning it, it stopped turning on out of the blue. I tried changing the battery, but it did nothing. $20 down the drain. My advice is to buy literally any other bikini trimmer. Additionally, the part of the Philips website dealing with warranties sucks and I will not be buying Philips products in the future. In conclusion, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! 1Simple, reliable, useful, low weight and easy to use. Some quality issues which might happen to anyone from time to time. This is a replacement of a similar Philips Bikini Trimmer older model and I've found that it has been improved if compared with the older model I've used to use in some way but there is also a decrease of quality, again if compared with the old model. This item is of lower weight if compared with the older model but still easy to handle and easy to operate.I have used it on arm pits and bikini area with good results and without any kind of discomfort. It is operated with one "AA" size battery, alkaline may suit good but it is better to use rechargeable batteries as they will last longer and will provide an steady performance of the unit, so it is my own experience that rechargeable batteries perform better than alkaline batteries on this specific item.I have placed an item return to Amazon as I have found that the shave head accessory is not operating as expected and I think a complete replacement of the unit shall fix the problem.It is very simple to use with good enough results, just as expected. 3Great personal shaver for the cost Great personal shaver for the cost. Used the Gelete personal razor with the trimmer on the ed but I hated the razor head and after a while the personal shaver would break. I went through about 10 of them. This shaver is awesme and the attachments and the bag it comes with is so nice. 5Doesn't trim hair. 2 cutting heads included. Tried first head. When no trimming happened, I checked trouble shooting directions. Says it doesn't trim "long" hair.... you must first trim your long hair with second head and then try the first head to cut hair. (there's only so long bikini hair can get. ???) Tried second head -- it did work, after 5-6 passes on the same section. Oy vey. Going back to man's mustached trimmer instead. They cost twice as much, but they work. 1
