Does not do anything except for clean your hair which at $20 a bottle, you are better off buying a $6 bottle of a common shampoo. This stuff will dry your hair out exactly as has been mentioned in several other reviews. I saw someone say that it makes your hair feel like straw and that is exactly right.It doesn't even make your hair smell good. I work at a food coatings plant and we use a lot of pepper. By a lot, I mean thousands of pounds at a time and pepper is really dusty. It gets into the air and all over you...this stuff smells like that. Pepper is not exactly an offensive odor, but really, who wants their hair to smell like that on purpose?1Look heres the deal: This Shampoo doesn't grow hair, it cleans it.I can honestly say that after 1 year of use I haven't grown any hair...but I can also say I HAVE seen hair loss reduction slow. It seems like when i was using head and sholders before this shampoo my hair line was rapidly receeding so I either its a coincidence that i noticed it slowed when i started using this shampoo or the shampoo's ingredients are helping my hair loss slow.Also so what if its $30 I have short hair and a half of a pump lathers my hair nicely. It was effective to a certain extent, but very limited. It also made my scalp dry and itchy. I decided to give this shampoo a try after reading some recommendations. I had been using this shampoo for close to 1.5 year and I really like it.Pros: I stopped using Rogaine and my hair loss condition improved after ~2 month of daily use. Please don't get me wrong, the hair loss is still there, but way less than how it used to be. My hair looks thicker and it's a really noticeable difference.Cons: Other than the noticeable difference in my hair, it made my hair really dry. My hair gets tangled more easily and I ended up spending more time brushing it. Another thing is the price, it is definitely more expensive than other shampoos. These are not big problems ever since I started applying this shampoo for my scalp only, and use it once every 2-3 days. I already use this shampoo and will continue to buy it at full price because it works!A little back story before I review the product: I'm only 26 years old, but started losing my hair when I was 24 (in the back of my head where you see a lot of men go bald). I dealt with it for a while but started using Minoxidil to treat my hair loss. At first the product was great, I got some hair back after a few weeks and everything seemed great until I went a day without using their shampoo. My next shower my hair began falling out like crazy (worse that it had before). I looked it up and found that Minoxidil grows hair that is dependent on the product; once you stop using it you lose the hair it gives you. I didn't want to be bound to the product for the rest of my life so I decided to just stop using it and let my hair fall out.Fast forward about a year, my hair is super thin, and I'm naturally bummed out by it. I looked up hair loss and found out about male pattern baldness, what causes it, ways to treat it, etc.. I found this specific product mentioned multiple times in the articles and decided to give it a try. It only took about 3 showers to STOP SEEING MY HAIR FALL OUT. This product didn't grow me any new hair over night, but it stopped it from falling out which is awesome! I understand this can't make her hair loss stop per se (you'll likely lose your hair or not with chemo based off how it reacts with your body). We have noticed a drastic change in the way her hair even sits. It is so much more curly and full of life, it has more body, is hydrated and not puffy in the least. She also has cancer bumps on her scalp, when she uses this product it makes her head tingle but has actually even helped reduce cancer bumps on her head.I'm so happy with this shampoo and so glad that it has made my mom feel more secure with her hair. I really hope she doesn't lose her hair but also know that it isn't something we can avoid. However, in the meantime this product seems to be reducing the effects of chemo and she has noticed significantly less hair loss while using it this last week. It also suds up nicely, even without the SLS, if that's a concern for you. However, there are two items to consider. First, you'll likely need a conditioner because this shampoos definitely sucked the moisture out of my hair. Second, if you're hoping for a miracle hair-loss cure, you probably need to look at a prescribed medication or something else designed specifically for hair loss prevention. Maybe the vitamins and minerals work to reduce the hair loss rate, but if you're losing hair like I am, you're probably not going to stop the loss completely.
