Customer Reviews

Great for mature skin!! It was a little darker than I needed, but since I use a white setting powder the color comes out perfect. I was researching foundations for women over 50 and this one appeared on at least 4 of the websites. It's easy to layer where more coverage is needed. Covers lines and makes deep wrinkles much less noticeable. It does well to not sink into lines, just a little on the eyelids so go lightly on the upper lids. I love this makeup and was bummed when they stopped making it. So glad I found it on Amazon!! Will be ordering more to build up a supply of it!! Don't know what I'll do when Amazon runs out. Great foundation for those of us not in our 20s anymore!! 5... Tente Idol from Lancome and can't believe that I love this. It blends perfectly with a beauty blender Switched from Tente Idol from Lancome and can't believe that I love this. It blends perfectly with a beauty blender. I am 48 and really it goes on seamlessly. I set it with IT pore disappearing powder I also got on Amazon. 5I want it to make me look like I don't have makeup on I have tried EVERY foundation under the sun! Nars, MAC, Estee lauder, too faced, NYX, ELF, Urban Decay, DIOR, clinique, Makeup forever, Giorgio Armani, JUST TO NAME A FEW!! and... this Revlon foundation BEATS THEM ALL!! I am extremely picky with foundations! I want it to make me look like I don't have makeup on, but looking like I do at the same time! It literally lasts ALL DAY! Ive worked out , went swimming, slept in it, and it does NOT budge!!! Now people may not like the container as it is in a shallow glass container that you have to scoop out , and at first it goes on THICK, but once you buff it out, it goes on thin but gives TONS of coverage!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have fair skin and sand beige is very versatile! I wear it, as well as my slightly darker skinned mother. NO lines, doesn't change color through out the day, doesn't get "patchy" , flake, or fade AT ALL!! I get hot very easily and if my face starts to sweat, the foundation still looks great! 5Solid Foundation! I've been on a quest to find the right foundation. I like whipped foundation as my skin is a little dry at this point, something long-lasting, buildable and easy to blend. In other words, I don't want to look like I lost a battle with a bottle of self-tanner. This one is great and works even better than some of the much pricier formulas I tried. The color is perfect and it doesn't look heavy or overly made up on. I use a damp sponge to blend out. It does a great job of covering minor imperfections and evening out skin tone without feeling or looking like I'm heavily made up. 5Great for aging skin! I m 46 years old, with normal/combination skin (formerly very oily). Recently I ve had to re-evaluate my makeup regimen, get rid of heavy concealer, and avoid anything too cakey, chalky, or matte since that emphasizes fine lines. So, I ve been on the lookout for a new foundation that isn t too greasy, but still leaves a natural, dewy finishand can also be used under the eyes as a light concealer.I LOVE Colorstay Whipped Creme! Even better than the Colorstay 2-in-1 cream makeup/concealer compact. It blends so easily, really does last all day long, and feels silky but not greasy. It s a full-coverage foundation, so I just need a dot on forehead, chin, and each cheek to cover my whole face. I dab a bit under each eye, too, and there s enough coverage there to minimize dark circles. If you are younger and have oilier skin, you ll probably want to use a powder on top of this product as it does have a dewy finish. For me, it s perfect as-is.Note about shades: the Colorstay range runs somewhat pale. For reference, I typically use the 2nd or 3rd lightest warm-toned foundation in most lines (for L Or al True Match, I m a W3 and for other lines I choose shades labeled buff/nude/warm ivory). However, the Colorstay Buff and Nude shades are too pale for me. Sand Beige is a PERFECT match for my skin tone and looks completely natural. 5Only one that works for my dry skin and yellow undertones Update: Having now tried Revlon Colorstay Foundation for dry skin (the one in the pump), I can say Sand Beige is more yellow in whipped and more pink in the pump one. The pump one is also more moisturizing and ultimately better for my dry skin.BUT I have found that adding a drop or two of facial oil to it (I've been using the okay regenerist one), has really helped and so I still prefer this one for its opacity and color. I scoop a little out on to the back of my hand, add the oil, mix, and then apply.Dry skin and yellow undertones: these are two of the things I'm working that most foundations fail to cater to. So it was a very great day when I found this for it didn't pull too pink or green; it didn't exacerbate my dry skin and make me look older; and it actually covered up things like the melasma on my forehead. While it's called "whipped foundation", it's nothing like the mouse types I've tried and disliked in order brands (always way too drying and airy for my skin). Instead, this is like a semi-thick cream, and the color is so saturated and pigmented that it doesn't feel like any air has been whipped into it.Here's how I apply it:.First, I use moisturizer and then monistat chafing relief gel as a primer..I use a makeup brush to pull some product out of the jar and place it on the back of my hand..With a wet real techniques blending sponge, I dab into the foundation and then pat it into my face. I repeat this until I've got the desired coverage.I have now been using this foundation in Sand Beige #200 for 2 years. I have no problems with break outs and I can't recall any problems when I first started using. Typically, any new foundation or moisturizer breaks me out initially until my skin has had time to acclimate so it's possible that once upon a time this did too.***A few things to note. I bought mine shipped AND sold from Amazon, because beauty products from unknown sources can be a gamble (expired, incorrect, etc). I actually turned to Amazon to buy it because it's been continually out of stock at my local stores, which leads me to believe it will be discontinued soon (so, so tragic).I also really feel this is best for dry or aging skin because it is very high coverage and thick.Lastly, the jar shape has one major flaw: it can make it way too easy for germs to get in and breed, so I definitely suggest using clean brushes or utensils every time in order to minimize that. 5Great for oily skin and humid weather! I've been a long time user of Revlon Colorstay foundation, starting with their original formula. When they came out with this one, it was an instant love for me and replaced the original Colorstay I had used. I used this for many years until the stores stopped carrying it. I was so glad to find it on Amazon! To me, this is lighter feeling, but has good coverage without feeling like you're wearing a mask. It's great for hot, humid days, which is what it was originally intended for. I have oily, acne-prone skin, but this doesn't cause any irritation. It has a matte finish, so if you like the dewy look, then this isn't for you. It goes on easily and blends seamlessly. In the summer months, I'll use a mattifying primer to help it stay longer, though it's not necessary that you use one. In the winter months, this performs just fine without a primer. I have fair to medium complexion w/dark blonde hair, so I use medium beige in the summer months, and go one shade lighter for winter. I still use blotting sheets with this, usually at around the five hour mark. I've noticed that compared to the original, this one doesn't seem to cake after it's been on for 10+ hours. I'm going to order backups of this because I love it so much! 5I love the feel and the way it smooths onto my skin I finally found a quality foundation at an affordable price, and I couldn t be happier. The foundation I had been using for years was ridiculously expensive. I vowed to find a new foundation every time i used it, but didn t want to go through the hassle. I finally got fed up with spending a small fortune on foundation and tried Revlons ColorStay Whipped Cr me. I am so glad I did. Love everything about it, including the price, AND I can wear it even longer than my other costly big name brand! 5Best Foundation I've Ever Used! This is by far, the best foundation I have ever used, and I've used so, so, many. I am in my mid-50s, although I'm fortunate, or my skin care regimen is paying off, I hardly have any wrinkles, but I now need something that isn't drying, and that evens out my skin tone. Over the past year, I've tried Maybelline Fit Me - both the matte and dewy versions, Maybelline Dream Smooth Mousse, L'Oreal Magic Nude, the pricey Time Balm Foundation, and so many more, but none has come close to the fabulousness of this one. What Revlon ColorStay Whipped Creme Foundation does that no other has done:Skin still looks as fresh as it did when I first applied it in the am (with or without using a primer - but when I remember to use one, it's Clarins Beauty Flash Balm)Coverage is great, not too heavy, not at all drying yet still leaves a matte looking (not feeling) finishDoesn't feel like I have anything onMy skin looks better than I thought possible at this age, but better than it's ever lookedI cannot say enough good things about this foundation. My lengthy search is over!NOTE: I thought I'd mention that the shades do run light. The first one I bought was a shade darker (medium beige) than I usually use (Normally buy natural beige or something similar, but because one or more reviewers said the shades are a bit light, I went a shade darker), but it was still a tad lighter than my skin. I then bought warm golden and it's perfect. I still use the medium beige along the jawline and chin area because my skin is slightly lighter in that area, so I'm glad I have both.Anyway, if you're having difficulty finding a good foundation and have similar needs as I do, give this a try. You won't regret it. But I recommend trying it in the store first to find your right shade. 5in <3 This stuff is amazing! I don't have to worry about it wearing off and it really does stay on amazingly well! I wore it for 14 hours once and it stayed on very well. I didn't powder after the initial powdering to set it and the only area that really wore off at all was my nose. I was pretty shiny, but the makeup was still clinging on and hiding my flaws beautifully. I think a powdering in the middle of the day would have prevented this and it would have kept going even longer! I actually have yellow undertones, but I decided to get ivory because the yellower tones never work right with my skin. Although it looks like it will be way too pink, it actually blends in and looks great! It is very easy to blend ( I use my fingers to dot it on in sections and blend it in with my fingers before moving on to another section) and works best with a thin layer. I do go back over trouble areas with another thin layer and find that this prevents me from needing much concealer. It doesn't help with my dark circles, but my circles are super dark so I don't blame the product for that lol. I do recommend wiping with a makeup/baby wipe first before washing your face since this stuff doesn't just wash off like other foundations. I find that the using the wipe and then washing gets almost all of it off since my toner pad that I use afterwards is almost still clean when I get done using it. The packaging is a bit of an issue, but I will gladly put up with it to be able to use this wonderful product!I cannot recommend this stuff enough and encourage everyone that just can't seem to find that foundation that they love to try this out. You will be pleasantly surprised! 5
