    Great + A Few Tips This soap is really good. I have acne, and it has helped it to be less red. My skin has also become much smoother. I really love this soap, but there s a few things you should know about how to use the soap. The first is that it says to put it on and let it sit for 5 tp 10 mins. I don t always do this and I haven t tested to see if this really helps. Also to get this soap to lather I recommend you first apply some all over your face and then pump a little more into your hands (you don t need that much). Next, take a little bit of water and rub your hands together in little circles. This helps to make the soap sud up. Then you can start gently massaging your face. If you want more bubbles repeat the process. Overall, I highly recommend this product. I only gave it 4 stars though because I still am geting a few breakouts. 4Good for clearing acne breakouts Pros: Clears up my acne breakouts in a day or two. I don't follow the instructions of mixing it with water. I mix it with my face scrub and apply and scrub. It does the job. The smell takes some getting used to, but it isn't overwhelming. It is kinda stinky, but it's all natural.Cons: It stains, so I had to switch to using black wash cloths on my face because it stains so badly, so please be careful when you handle it with delicate clothing. The instructions state to mix with water, but if you don't mix it properly, it just turns into this hard ball of stuff and you have to throw it away. If you have sensitive skin, don't leave it on your skin very long, it is very strong. I noticed when I tried to use it as a mask, it left my skin tender and red in some spots. But that stands to reason, because my skin is super sensitive. Take care to use it sparingly (every other day as opposed to every day), until your skin adjusts. 5Love this soap!I have NEVER had a product work so well on my face. I have had NO acne in weeks!! I tell everyone about this stuff now. I would highly recommend it. Its pretty easy to use- you dampen your hands with some water and then put some powder on your hands and rub them together till the powder forms into a ball (takes seconds) , and then use the ball as if it was a little mini "bar of soap". Add a bit more water and rub the ball between your hands, and it creates a soapy lather. Wash, then rinse! Avoiding the eye areas.5Love I love this stuff, way more than I thought I would. I have dry skin and when I tried black soap in bar form before- it stripped everything away and left me feeling so parched. I got this as a sample, tried it skeptically and omg it is one of my favorite foaming cleansers ever!! I use an oil cleanser to remove makeup at night, tissue off the makeup, and use a dime size amount with a few drops of water to cleanse. It foams a little (not a lot) and has an earthy, neutral smell, no fragrance at all. I actually love the smell, it smells like dirt haha!! My skin is left super clean but not stripped. I apply serums and oils after washing, so I m not sure if it would be dry without them. I ve tried it as a mask as described in the directions and it works well that way, but I like it better as a normal wash. Give it a shot!! 5Squeaky Clean! I got this product in a birchbox shipment. I love how deep it cleans. I have been looking to ditch the facewash i have been using for 5 years because it just doesn't take my makeup off. If when i dry my face and my foundation is coming off on the towel i just don't see how it can be cleaning. so i am trying this product!I love how squeaky clean it makes my face and how clean my pores and tight my skin feels. I seem to be breaking out a bunch after using it for a few days but I am going to hold off in hopes that it is just doing some really deep pore cleaning. The spa I get facials at says that you should give a new face regimen at least two weeks before knowing if it is working or not. Hoping all this stuff clears up and remains clear! I will follow up with results. 4Basically, this stuff is magic. This stuff, as another said, is a Holy grail item for me, along with the face spray and face cream. I have had an acne problem my while life, if I try to switch to another product, I break out.. but if I consistently use the products daily my skin looks better than it ever has in my life. (The exfoliating mask is great too!!!) This company should really sponsor me because I really cant say enough good things. It really does something for my skin that no other product has and I've spent A LOT of money trying to fix my acne.ONE WARNING: this stuff burns my eyes sooooo bad, it's a slick formula so you really have to make sure youve rinsed your eye area well before you open your eyes. If it does get in your eyes just flush them with water, itll pass, just be careful! 5Genuine Black SoapShea Terra's black soap products (bar soap, liquid, and this raw form) are all really effective in thorough, but gentle exfoliation.The only thing about this one being in its raw form, is that it smells strongly of the burnt components that make genuine black soapwhat it is. This stuff is simply amazing! If I had not found it, I'd still be suffering with cystic acne and have the awful scars to show for it! I started using this almost two months ago. I received a sample in my birchbox and loved how smooth it made my face feel so I ordered a 4oz bottle off Amazon. It made my face "squeaky clean." I wash my face and body in the shower with A SheaMoisture African black soap BAR. When I get out of the shower, I pat dry my face so it's mostly dry but damp and then I apply the liquid sheaterra rose hips black soap! I rub it on and use as a mask for 5-10 minutes... At night I do it longer. And then rinse! After that, I use a 2.5% retinol serum (I use Eve Hansens fresh & radiant) this stuff helps to tighten your skin and help with any age spots, acne scar, or dark spot fading! And with this routine, my cystic acne has disappeared, and scars are slowly but surely disappearing!! Y'all, I have tried EVERYTHING for my cystic acne... Spent hundreds on expensive products that claimed to do the job but had no luck! At $14 a bottle for this soap, it's a STEAL in my opinion! I am forever thankful that this product was made and is so affordable! I will post before/after (now) pictures so you can see. 5pretty fantastic This is the first product (and only) product I've used by Shea Terra, and I love it. People started complimenting me on my complexion almost immediately! It gives your skin a glow and I felt like my fine lines were diminishing. I'm 28, but my skin begs to differ- (aside from the fine lines). I had zero breakouts, and it smoothed out my skin in a way. There are no sketchy ingredients in this product at all, which is rare these days. You've heard the term "green-washing" right? Don't expect a fragranced scent, this smells very earthy, in a nice way. But really, who would want added fragrance (that's more than likely synthetic) in a natural product? I really wish they had more products to offer on Amazon. I'm about to reorder this though, people kept thinking it was hand soap so it dwindled down pretty fast. You won't regret buying this! 5Magical brown goo for the win I first got a sample of this in a Goode box and didn't know what to make of it. Its dark, thick and a cross between sticky & gelatinous and not like any facial cleanser I've ever seen. Additionally, the instructions on the bottle seemed a bit too fussy for simple face washing. I finally chanced it one day when my skin was extra tender and was glad I did. I wet my face with splashes of water and massaged the cleanser over it in circular motions and then rinsed. There's honey in this so, of course, I worry about it being difficult to rinse off so I now use a cotton cosmetic pad to work the product over my skin before rinsing and there's no trace of it when I then go over my face with Shea Terra's Moroccan Rose Facial Water.Despite it not sudsing and feeling great on the skin it cleans thoroughly. I've never had an allergic reaction to it, my pores are clean & unclogged and my face isn't stripped to tightness. I also use this as a mask by applying it to clean, wet skin and letting it sit for up to 15 minutes. The result is smooth, soft skin. This brown goo is a winner. 5I really wanted to love this cleanser after reading the other reviews... I did not enjoy this cleanser at all. I read reviews that talk of using as an exfoliant, as a weekly mask, reviews that said it smelled amazing- like rosemary. It is a dark brown gel that does not smell good. It doesn't smell like chemicals, nor does it smell like essential oils or any plants I'm familiar with. It's has a mildly rotten smell. I want to believe that I just somehow got the wrong batch because I can't believe that anyone enjoyed this scent.I assumed on my own that it would have it's own sort of microbeads in it based on other reviews but it does not having anything like that. It's just a smooth thicker gel. I tried it as a face mask as others said and it did stick to my skin, but seemed too thin to get proper coverage. It left my skin feeling very dry and even kind of taught, which is most likely good for acne and aging as others have mentioned. I can't make myself endure it long enough to find out. 2If they stop making this, I will die! If they stop making this, I will die! I have been using this facial soap for over two years now and I cannot live without it. I have chronic combination skin. My forehead is oily but also dry- so dry it gets to the point of flaking. We all know what a flaky face looks like under makeup...gross. This is the only product I have came across that will remove the flakiness without any abrasive exfoliants or harsh chemicals. Personally, I wash my face first with a mild facial cleanser to remove all makeup. Then I apply the Rose Hips Black Soap and let it sit for about 5 minutes (or more), then rinse. Lastly, after I have thoroughly rinsed off the black soap, I make circular motions all over my face with my fingertips, concentrating on my problem areas. Don't be scared to really rub, you're trying to create friction so the dead skin will release...and it will. The flaky skin just falls right off. I know, sounds creepy but it really really works!! 5shea terra rulesi got it for travel. no mess to pack. it really strips the hair, so it not for everyday use. but i use alot of oil, and i need to strip it once in a while. i mix six to one with sandlewood red powder. i don't know why, i just follow directions, and everyone says to use this recipe. i buy lots of stuff from shea terra, mostly body oils. check their web page for sales. sometimes amazon is cheaper with better shipping. ... actually, i just mixed an ounce of powder into the bottle.5
