    Disappointed customer I have purchased this product before from retail stores with great results. Tried purchasing online simply for convenience. When I received the bottle it was dirty and oily. I simply washed the bottle and started using it but the first time I pumped lotion out of the bottle it came out liquid and smelling weird. I kept pumping until no more watery product came out thinking the rest would be ok. Unfortunately the product I general has a weird consistency and smell. This product is either expired or has been tampered. I tried to return it but apparently I can t. I will never purchase this product online again. 1Miracle Hand Lotion I'm ecstatic as it seems I've finally found the remedy for my horribly dry hands. Regardless of how much & what kind of lotion I've used in the past, I have always had embarrassingly dry hands that turn red, crack and become extremely painful. After using ShiKai Borage Therapy for only a few days, I can already tell a drastic difference. The lotion is a terrific, thick consistency, but not greasy whatsoever. It absorbs quickly, but leaves your skin feeling hydrated long after application. 5Our Favorite For A Long Time, But We've Found Something Better For Our Needs This is going to be a bit of an unusual review, so bear with me please.In my reviews on Shea Butter and African Black Soap I mention how our daughter suffered for several years from fairly severe eczema which we've since gotten under control and almost eliminated (thank you, ITSAN). For a long time during the eczema ShiKai Lotion was the product we settled on to moisturize her skin. The lotion went on easily, had no scent, and kept her skin moister for longer than any other product we'd tried to that point.Now if you or someone you care about has ever suffered from eczema, you know how valuable it is to find something that helps (or even something that simply doesn't make things worse). You also know how variable the results are with any product for any given individual - what works for one eczema sufferer may not work for another and may actually make things worse for a third.So had I written this review before discovering shea butter, I would have given this product five stars. However, since the shea butter worked better for us, I can only give it four stars. That is not to say this ShiKai Lotion is a bad product by any means. In fact, for you it might be the perfect product for all the reasons it was our favorite for a long time. But for us, shea butter ended up performing better in all those categories.So I don't want to discourage anyone from trying this product; borage lotion is a very good moisturizer. At the same time, I would like you to be aware that there is something out there that might work better and is also a greater value. 4Watered Down I'm not sure what's going on but I've used this product for years so I know the consistency. This particular bottle I got is watered down. I can't believe people do this to make an extra buck. 1I love this lotion as a face cream! I found a sample of this at my natural foods store and was drawn to it because the label mentioned that it could also be used on the face. I have very difficult skin - it's extremely dry, sensitive and I get clogged pores on my nose and cheeks. My skin is even worse in the winter, due to the dry air indoors. I absolutely love this lotion and use it in the AM and PM as a skin cream. Given the large size of the bottle and price, it's a fantastic savings over the products I had been using and the results are just as good, if not better. My skin stays moisturized during the day, no skin irritations from the ingredients and my pores have not become clogged (it's not greasy). Very happy! 5must try if you have severely dry skin This healed my toddler's eczema. It is truly the best lotion for dry skin.I know that everyone is different, but this is worth trying. (I spent too much money on other products before finding shikai borage lotion.)Note: the advanced formula is a little bit harsher (I could feel a very slight sting on my face.). And the baby formula is not strong enough.This regular formula is just right. 5Best Lotion Ever! I have autoimmune issues including a severe gluten sensitivity and multiple chemical sensitivities. This lotion is great! I use it for my daily facial moisturizer as well as all over after showering. It's the best lotion I've ever used & I'm 68 years old. Most days I use it once in the morning and once at night. Days that are extra dry (I live in Arizona) I use it 3 or 4 times & it keeps my hands moisturized like I want them to be. I'm on my second bottle & will keep using this! It's well worth the cost! 5STOP HERE, WORKS WONDERS on Dyshidrotic Eczema or any type of Eczema I LOVE THIS STUFF. I have suffered from Dyshidrotic Eczema for almost 3 years. I have tried almost every lotion and potion out there. I am thankful I stumbled upon this product. THANK YOU SHIKIA for not putting a bunch of garbage, fragrances or perfumes in this product. My hands are almost back to normal. The only thing I could say is this product is just a little greasy but I will take the greasy over any other product out there! 5Gentle for very effective skin healing and moisturizing I've used this very effective lotion for a decade and it never disappoints. The mild scent and simple formula that includes borage seed oil is remarkably soothing and healing to my skin. It has repaired stressed-out skin surfaces and is non-greasy, easy to apply and never feels thick or gloppy. I use it on face and body and it is very gentle. I've never needed any other expensive, salon skin product. This does it all and is particularly good for my face. The price ordered through an Amazon vendor was more reasonable than in any store I've seen it in.Additional note 09/09/18: I've ordered this product several times from the same seller and Amazon fulfills the orders. Up until the delivery today, the product was always properly packaged, with heavy, sticky tape over the pump and secured down the bottle. Today's product arrived open because it had been put in a heavy polymer-type bag without any tape securing the pump. Product had leaked out over the bottle and it was quite messy to clean up. I had to discard some of the product in the bottle when cleaning up the spilled product. Amazon issued a full refund and the rep said she would advise Amazon's shipping department about this. I advised the seller in a contact email that it should also contact Amazon about being more careful in properly packaging products before shipping. I do want to continue ordering from this seller and Amazon and will try again. 5Watered down product received :( I ordered two bottles of this stuff and it seemed normal (and great!) and then it turned all thin and liquidy! I thought maybe someone watered down the product or it changed as it got older, but it seems unlikely that a product that used to be so thick could turn to a milky liquid over night. I don't think they've changed the formula because I bought another (much smaller) bottle in a drugstore and it is great just like I remember. Chagrined I spent so much on what seems like a product someone watered down. I will not buy this online again. 2DON T BUY, NO QUALITY CONTROL!!! This has been my favorite LOTION for my face and body for several years. I purchased two bottles from this seller for the first time and both were NOT LOTIONS, they were so runny that it was like pouring water into my hands! Could the lotion go bad as it ages or is this a bad batch, or could they be watered down? Don t really understand because I have purchased this same product from other Amazon sellers and other stores like Fred Meyers without a problem. This really is an effective and wonderful lotion when it is a LOTION and not water! 1
