It's good moderate product but not perfect for mixed guy Good for the price has a great smell and will give your beard a fuller look. I know a lot of hard work went into this product and it's actually good for your facial skin as well. For me it wasn't the end all be all if I found out it's as good as it gets I'll re wrote this review.i think all of us have different textures facial hair and an idea of what the perfect beard is. This product was nice but not quite it for me. I should mention I'm mixed of African and European descent so I have a very specific requirement of my beard products. 3Quality beard oilIt's on par with other leading beard oil producers such as GBS. Smell is nice, subtle... kind of Earthy. Keeps my face fuzz from itching or splitting, but this is only one of a half dozen oils I will use.The dropper is a plus. I avoid even the good oils that don't include a dropper.4Makes beard soft Hubby uses this for his beard. Has a nice pleasant smell and not too oily. Smell mixes well with his cologne and makes his beard so soft. 5Great mosturizer and scent, but for growth not so much. This a great oil, feels great on the beard and skin and has a fantastic scent. But the ingredients used primarily are focused on sustain more than growth. This oil does not have rosemary, lavender, or any other oil that thickens hair. That and I find my skin slightly itchy after sone time and have to apply more. But that is likely all me and doesn't have to do with the oil itself. Overall its great, if you already have a rocking beard this is a fantastic choice. 4Be Smart Try Wisdom Oil I found this review really hard to write. I have tried several different beard oils, and try to be consistent in my reviews of them. I like this product- but it has a qualities that I do not care for - and will spell out below. I will try to be specific, because what I consider a flaw may not be a flaw for you, or the person you are thinking of buying this product for- they are not deal breakers- and I will use this bottle of oil on my beard.I have a short beard- and because of that I have to maintain it. Up till now, I have been blessed with decent skin, and prior to growing a beard I might moisturize my face with lotion occasionally on cold days- but beyond that, I shaved and washed my face with water. Then I grew a beard. I thought this would lead to less care- no more shaving- just washing my face. But this wasn't to be. My beard does weird things to my skin, the main challenge being face has become dry and flaky underneath beard- it is called beard-druff. It is not cool, but it is the skin I have been given. Towards that end I have sought out beard oils- they work wonders! You need to find the beard oil that works best for your face. This oil works on the skin underneath the beard, but you apply it to your beard first- giving the beard more shine and makes it easier to manage. I applied extra to help make sure I was fighting off the beard-gruff.This leads to the first troublesome quality, which is a component of all my other complaints- this is the first beard oil that I have tried that doesn't have a way to get it out of the bottle. I have used sprays, pumps, and droppers. With this beard oil you pour some into the palm of your hand. This makes it hard to mange the amount/portion control. With practice this might work okay- but the first couple times I used it- too much poured into my hand. The third time I got it just right, but it is tricky- and with something that is not cheap you want to make sure you are not wasting any of it. My preference in application tools is the dropper- which directly applies the oil to your skin first, and then I run a comb through my beard, and it gives everything a healthy and attractive shine. When you apply the oil to your palms then your beard first it takes more effort to get to your actual skin. In the photos of some of the other reviews, and on the page selling it, they show people with really long beards- it might be better suited to a long beard than a short beard- I usually keep mine trimmed under an inch.I like the wisdom smell. It is hard to describe- it masculine. It takes a while to fade- kind of citrusy- kind of like fennel. I like a light scent that fades fairly quickly. But this one lingered and I did not mind it.This would make a fine gift for a friend or family member with a beard who is interested in looking handsome, especially if he has a long beard. It is the kind of thing a man might not think to buy for himself, but will appreciate once he has it- and wonder why he did not use it earlier. It came packaged in a tube that was easy to open, and I like that the label is water and oil proof . Pouring the oil in your hands means you will have oil and water on your hands when handling it- and it nice that it won't wipe away.I received the 'Wisdom Beard Oil' for a slight discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. It is light enough that is compliments lighter citrus/fruity colognes. Worth every penny. I did research prior to placing the order and found that this was rated "Best Beard Oil 2016" on a few sites so I knew it had to be good. Thankfully this has moisturized his beard leaving it soft and much straighter/less scraggly. Not only does it greatly improve the outward appearance of the beard by way of looks & texture, it's also nourishing the insides of each hair leaving it fantastically soft and cuddlesque!! Only 4 stars because I feel like the scent has changed since my first original bottle, but like I said that was over 2 years ago... Solid stuff. 4Lumberjack scent in a bottle Super manly, super useful. I feel like a lumberjack with this on. Even after shaving my beard, I still mix a drop or two of this into my face lotion after shaving. Feel great, smells great, and lasts a LONG time (you don't need much).FYI the smell doesn't last that long at all, maybe 30 minutes tops, so use it right before your date! 5Superior Bearding Goods - CanYouHandlebar - Traditional Beard Oil - Wisdom ScentHaving used CanYouHandlebar's Wisdom-scented Beard Dry Oil, I was curious to see if their traditional beard oil held up in terms of quality.I'm happy to say that I'm every bit as pleased with the Beard Oil as I was with the Dry Oil.If you've used other beard oils before, the first thing you will notice is that this has a slightly thinner consistency than most. Spreading it into my beard, I noticed that it absorbed well and did not leave a heavy greasy residue as I have noticed with other oils. This tells me two things: my beard is soaking in the nourishment it needs and I'm not dumping excess oil on to my beard and skin. My face was itchy. My shirt was covered in beard flakes. Ordered Honor Beard Oil and combed through my beard after washing in the morning for a week. The itch and flakes vanished and my beard no longer attempted to break the teeth off my comb. Thinking it was a fluke, I stopped using it for a couple of days and the itchy, flaky, out of control beard returned. Clearly this stuff really is that awesome. Now I'm hooked, even though it seems a little expensive for the amount of product.As an added bonus, if I get a little carried away with the mustache wax buildup, the beard oil helps to clear it out without repeated heating and shampooing.The earthy scent is definitely little intense straight out of the bottle but my wife says it smells great once applied and combed through. It does stir an urge to go fire up the chainsaw somewhere deep down inside.It would be nice if it came with some sort of dropper so that I could be a little more consistent with the amount applied. Additionally the cap does not seem to seal very well once opened. I'm a little concerned that it will coat everything in my travel bag on my next flight. I'll find out soon.5There was nothing terribly wrong with this product There was nothing terribly wrong with this product. It seemed to provide beard softening benefits. But I found another that I like much better, so it suffers by comparison. The first suggestion: incorporate an eye-dropper to make it easier to use, and less likely to get too large an amount of oil (so preventing you from having to purchase refills more frequently). Secondly, I found the pine/cedar scent to be much less like a quality grooming product scent and more like a cleaning product scent: a bit harsh and unpleasant. There are other beard oils with a more pleasant musky smell. I realize this is somewhat subjective preference. 3
