Too dark Unfortunately, the color range on this product isn't very broad. Their lightest shade, ivory, had a very dark orangey tint on my skin. I normally am either the lightest or second lightest shade for any brand of makeup, and it's uncommon for there to not be a shade fair enough for my skin tone. I can't speak to the quality of the makeup itself though -- I didn't want to look like an orange all day! 2My #1 makeup product. My absolute favorite foundation. I have tried everything that is out there from liquids, to powders, to minerals, to foams, everything. This is so incredibly awesome I will continue to buy it until they make it. I tried getting different less-expensive mineral foundations but nothing touches the quality and the look of this. It gives your skin a soft looking diffused sheen which makes it look moisturized but not greasy or shiny. It looks very classy and can be layered for a heavier coverage or just dusted for an every day look. I have combination skin and this works perfect and wears almost all day. 5I really like youngblood mineral foundation I really like youngblood mineral foundation, and this is the perfect color match for me. I'm pretty fair but can tan. I'm usually an ivory or alabaster in liquid foundations and found this to work a lot better than the youngblood neutral I was in before as neutral seems more pinky but barely beige cancels out the pink tones I don't like and you can't even tell I'm wearing makeup. Love it as a concealer too as it works better than anything else and doesn't crease like creams. The only reason I give it a 4 rather than a 5 is because there's some ingredient that I must be sensitive to that makes my skin itchy, but my skin has seemed to adapt to where it's not been enough of an issue to not continue buying as I haven't found a mineral foundation that's better and that gives the great coverage that yb does. Also, I find that I do need the rice powder to avoid shine, but personally find the primer unnecessary. 4Very Poor Quality Powder I was going to return this powder but when I thought about the hassle and what it was going to to cost to ship it back I just kept it. It's a very poor quality powder. It's kind of grainy and doesn't look like any mineral powder I have ever purchased before. When I tried it, it was so much darker than it seemed to be and my usually oily skin looked very dried even after using my always wonderful Jane Airedale hydration spray to set it. I guess you get what you pay for. Lesson learned! 1Absolutely amazing!! To start I have been a regular liquid foundation user. But as I am pushing 30 I realize I should be using things that will benefit my skin. I normally have good skin however I noticed with my regular liquid foundation it was starting to clog my pores and therefore I have been getting zits everywhere. Well I decided to give up liquid foundation all together and find myself a nice mineral foundation that would be beneficial to my skin. I heard of Youngblood and thought of giving them a try but there weren't many reviews on youtube so I ventured onto Bare minerals/escentuals which ended up being pure garbage! I am not oily skin by any means and after about 3-4 hours I was a grease ball not to mention it broke me out, imagine that their advertisements say its so pure you can sleep in it yet I broke out hmmm. So I moved on to a mineral foundation by Jane Iredale and this as well was garbage. Then I climbed the ladder to a more expensive mineral foundation by La Bella Donna this was the worst one out of them all I not only was so oily I thought you could fry an egg on my skin but it broke me out like the rest. Lastly I tried a Indie company called Terra Firma and it was the least worst out of the others but still no go for me as it made me look chalky. I was up to my ears at this point and was going to give up on the whole mineral foundation thing but thought back about how I never tried Youngblood and it was the first one I initially was going to try anyways but didn't. So I bought the Youngblood loose mineral foundation in Soft Beige and their loose rice setting powder. I am nc15-nc20 in Mac and the Soft Beige matched me perfectly! It is so silky smooth and looks absolutely amazing on my skin. Oh my goodness there is actually coverage with this as opposed to the others that offered nothing. The best part is I have not broken out with using this mineral foundation and rice powder, in fact the breakouts I've got from using all that other garbage has been calming down and clearing up. I am so thrilled to have finally found a mineral foundation that is everything I would have envisioned it to be. I would highly recommend this to every woman. My search is over! LOVE THIS STUFF!! 5LOVE IT!!! LOVE IT!! I've used this product for over 10 years, but have always purchased through a medical aesthetic office, at which I found it very hard to find, and actually got a certain location to start carrying the entire line due!! Often times they were out of my color etc. I've worked in film and makeup for years as well as in plastic surgery and used it on celebrities to post op patients. I too, have been a loyal customer for over 10 consistent years and continually get asked what makeup I use. When finding it on amazon I was thrilled, as they could deliver it to my door the same day for 3.99 extra or next day for free. This makes my mission to finding a place that carries and has my color in stock no longer a mission. Cannot say enough about Youngblood Loose Mineral Foundation, as I've tried many and nothing compares to the full coverage, yet dewy appearance.. It covers even your worse flaws or blemishes without giving you that "make up" look, your skin still beams through, leaving you looking flawless and healthy. 5Beautiful finish, perfect shade Youngblood Mineral Foundation has the most beautiful finish of all the mineral foundations I've tried. Some mineral foundations make me itch, even though they all have basically the same ingredients. Youngblood never causes itching, so it must have less concentration of whatever irritates my skin. Talc for sure causes itching and redness, which is why I use minerals, but, for awhile I thought bismuth oxychloride was a problem for me as well. I avoided mineral foundations for quite some time, but recently I came across an old photo of myself, and my skin looked incredible. For some reason, I remembered that I was using Youngblood minerals at the time the photo was taken, so I decided to give these another go. Back when I used Youngblood (a LONG time ago) there were less shade choices and Warm Beige was my only option. Even though it wasn't an exact color match, it looked great. Now Youngblood's shades are expanded, and Tawnee is the perfect match for my skin. I love the finish - it adds a vibrance to skin but no shimmer or glittery "fake" look. It has a much less "glowy" finish than other popular mineral foundations, and, on me, I feel this looks more "natural". I don't like to look "made up", but I like to look put together and neat. (And I like to mute freckles & stuff). I don't use mineral powder foundation every day, mostly because my skin changes with seasons, but I still thinks it's the perfect, easy hot weather makeup. It is excellent at staying put, and controlling oil and perspiration. It keeps my face looking fresh as long as possible. 5Worth a try! I have tried so many different brands and types of foundations over the years. This is a very good quality mineral foundation and offers full coverage without appearing too cakey or thick. In my opinion, it is better than Bare Minerals, being better in coverage and lasting longer without every appearing oily by the end of day, even in humid weather. I received a lot of compliments while wearing it. It is very simple to apply, and there was no need to use any concealer with it.My only issue is that even the lightest shade was a tad to dark for my very fair skin, and I can only use it during the summer time when I was at least slightly tanned! 4Amazing coverage, light feel I started using this because my dermatologist sells it in the office. It's much cheaper on Amazon of course. The coverage is full if you apply it with a Kabuki brush. My trick is to start with a neutral shade first on my trouble spots (natural/neutral), then cover my face with a lighter shade (ivory) and blend well. It is hard to get the ivory shade to cover much, it almost could be named translucent instead of ivory because it feels so much lighter than the other shades do. I finish with the rice powder to set and reduce shine. If you are still shiny at the end of the day, I was told that some use the rice powder both under the foundation and also as the finishing powder.I have horrible acne and this does not aggravate my skin, and still provides decent coverage. I used to have a messy thick layer of liquid foundation on everyday. There I something freeing about switching to the mineral powder - you don't feel so artificial and you're not hiding your skin completely, it can still breathe. Are you going to get full heavy coverage like a liquid - no. however, try it on a weekend or something and ease your way into it daily. I have deep red scars on my cheeks and if it will cover those, I think it will cover nearly anything. good luck! 5Look No Further!!! This mineral makeup is, by far, THE best on the market. The coverage is exceptional. The first time I came across it was at my hair salon. My young stylist used it, and she was living proof. Her skin and makeup always looked flawless, so I decided to give it a try. Being 'older', I was a bit reluctant, thinking it would make my skin look dry. Not at all. It covered up all my imperfections without having a caked on look. It's like magic. Any pigmentation, freckles, unevenness in tone, all vanish with Youngblood. It works exceptionally well at covering up ACNE so much so that my SON used to ask me to apply it to his face before he went off to school. I once went in to my local spa, walked over to the makeup counter to see if they had any of this type, and they didn't. When the woman at the desk asked if I needed any help, I started to explain that I was looking for a certain type of mineral makeup that they didn't have, and how much I thought it was the best on the market, without giving her the brand name.She then said 'is it youngblood?".. I thought i'd die! I immediately responded by saying a big YES! She said, "I know, but we don't sell it here". I looked everywhere in my area, and couldn't find...so I tried Amazon, and sure enough, they have it!!!!! 5
